ESSEX — Board of Selectmen unanimously appoints Nicholas Ouellette to vacant Fire Engineers Board seat. Town Administrator Brendhan Zubricki reported that a five-member interview committee voted 4-1 to recommend Ouellette after interviews with three candidates on August 19 and August 27. Selectman Peter D.
Phippen moved to appoint Ouellette, and the Board voted unanimously in favor via roll call. The committee emphasized Ouellette's 20 years with the Essex Fire Department, certified fire chief credential, and superior technical skills compared to finalist Andrew Ellison, while third candidate Michael Soucy was eliminated for insufficient management experience.
