Essex Board of Selectmen approves increased boating permits, discusses fiscal 2027 budget overrides. Harbormaster Tom Shamshak requested increasing non-resident boat launching permits from ten to twelve, and the Board voted unanimously to accommodate all twelve applicants without a lottery. Finance Committee Chair Jodi Harris joined the Board at 7:00 p.m. to discuss fiscal 2027 budgets requiring two overrides: one for the Manchester Essex Regional School District and one for municipal operations.
The Board also approved a weekly warrant of $1,161,834.88 and recommended the FY2027 Wage and Salary Scale.
