Selectmen approve salary increases, authorize infrastructure improvements

Essex Board of Selectmen unanimously approve salary increases and infrastructure authorization votes. Town Administrator Brendhan Zubricki won Board approval for a $80,000 target salary for the Town Accountant in fiscal year 2027, contingent on contract negotiation. The Board also unanimously voted to recommend $88,000 for the Town Clerk position.

In capital projects, the Board authorized an automated gate at the municipal fuel depot for approximately $25,000 and approved new aluminum bridge and gangway infrastructure for Town Landing. The Board also voted to authorize $1,092,000 in federal earmark funding for water main replacement on DeSoto Road, pending Senate passage and Presidential approval.
