ESSEX — Planning Board continues hearing on Bell Point LLC's 36-lot subdivision proposal without final decision. The March 18 Essex Planning Board reopened and continued its public hearing on The Preserve at Essex, a proposal for 36 residential lots on approximately 74 acres with over 50 acres preserved as open space. Residents raised questions about traffic, nitrogen and wastewater management, and potential school impacts; Chairman Lisa O'Donnell said the Board cannot legally consider schools.
Weston & Sampson engineer James Pearson reviewed the applicant's 11 waiver requests; the Board voted 6-0 to continue the hearing to April 1 at 7 p.m. The Board also unanimously approved Site Plan Review for 91 Main Street.
