Essex Planning Board approves two building projects, advances major OSRD review. The board unanimously approved siting of a new building at 3 Turtleback Road and found that an existing nonconformity at 7 Prospect Street would not substantially harm the neighborhood. Chair Lisa O'Donnell established a review checklist for The Preserve at Essex, a proposed 36-lot Open Space Residential Development on 82.4 acres.
Town Planner Valerie Massard fielded board questions on requested waivers, stormwater management, open space preservation options, and homeowners association responsibilities. A public hearing on the definitive subdivision plan is scheduled for March 4, 2026.
