Essex home sales top out at $1.75 million as trust transfers dominate volume
Fourteen property transfers were recorded in Essex between July 24 and Aug. 22, eight with disclosed sale prices ranging from $627,000 to $1,750,000, with a median of $1,332,500. The period's top sale was 45 Lufkin Point Rd. Lot 4, which sold for $1,750,000 on Aug. 3 from Michael P. Ross to Richard Greenblatt. Six of the 14 transfers, none with disclosed prices, moved property between an owner and a trust or entity in their own name. Forest Avenue, Western Avenue and John Wise Avenue each saw two transactions during the period.
