Council on Aging approves updated job descriptions, two-part FY27 budget plan
Council on Aging · Meeting of January 6, 2026
Essex Council on Aging approves job-description updates and two-part FY27 budget submission. The Board voted to add a two-year college degree as a preferred qualification to the Volunteer and Activities Coordinator position; Susan Parady and Sue Lufkin opposed the addition on grounds it might limit candidates, though the job description was then approved unanimously. In a separate vote, the Council approved submitting its FY27 budget in two phases, with a level-funded operational budget due January 10 and a separate wage-increase request to follow.
The Council also announced a 10,000 dollar donation from the Titus Foundation to support senior programs.
