Council on Aging approves salary increases for two positions

Essex Council on Aging unanimously approves salary increases and event management framework. The council approved salary increases for two positions: the Outreach Coordinator salary rose to $29 per hour, at the maximum of the $23-29 wage range recently established by the town, and the Volunteer and Activities Coordinator salary increased to $25 per hour, in the middle of the new $22-27 range. These increases will add $8,344 to annual COA salary expenditures.
The board also unanimously voted to have COA staff manage four recurring events — the Ladies' Monthly Brunch, Annual Barbeque, Annual Holiday Party, and Essex Eats — with funding support from the Friends of the COA.
