ESSEX — Conservation Commission continues Essex Park development hearing and engages peer reviewer for evaluation. The Commission voted unanimously to hire Lucas Environmental as peer reviewer for the Bell Point LLC Open Space Residential Development at 0 Essex Park Road, with a continued public hearing scheduled for July 14, 2026. Commissioners Thomas Barrieau and Sharon DeMeo raised concerns about the revised plans.
The Commission rejected Edward Neal Jr.'s request to refill a trench at 30 Pond Street, ruling that approved restoration work must be completed without returning the trench to its original condition. Enforcement actions were also taken at 99 John Wise Avenue, requiring removal of repurposed asphalt within 45 days.
