Essex Conservation Commission enforced wetlands violations and continued a major residential development hearing. The Commission voted four to one on an enforcement action at 99 John Wise Avenue, with Commissioner Sharon DeMeo abstaining, directing the Conservation Agent to send an enforcement letter to property owner John Stavros requiring asphalt removal from a walking path while allowing it on a cart path and prohibiting further asphalt use for maintenance. The Commission also unanimously voted to continue its public hearing on a proposed Open Space Residential Development by Bell Point, LLC at Essex Park Road, moving the hearing to August 4, 2026, with legal counsel from KPLaw to be made available at future meetings at the applicant's expense.
