Conservation commission approves expired permit; continues sewage hearing to April
Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 31, 2026
Essex Conservation Commission tackles pending applications, approves expired order. The commission unanimously approved a Certificate of Compliance indicating an expired order for work at the Great Marsh at the Parady duck camp, where work had never been started or completed. In a larger action, commissioners continued a public hearing on Thomas Perkins' request to install a tight tank sewage disposal system at 66 John Wise Avenue to April 21, after commissioners raised questions about a possible overflow pipe that Perkins agreed to address with his engineer.
The commission also directed staff to follow up on work at 166 Eastern Avenue and inquire about wetlands concerns at an asphalt stockpile at the Town Transfer Station.
