Essex Conservation Commission voted unanimously to issue a negative Determination of Applicability on Terence Healey's request to install a 12-by-14-foot shed and conduct grading at 1 Apple Street; Evin Guvendiren of DeRosa Environmental, representing the applicant, noted the grading was for a sports court positioned outside the 100-foot buffer zone. The Commission continued two Notice of Intent hearings to August 25, 2026: Lidia Szydlowska's project at 139 Eastern Avenue involving greenhouse removal and construction, and Bell Point LLC's open-space residential development at Essex Park Road, which is awaiting a peer-review response from Lucas Environmental.
