Board of Health grants one-year waste collection variance
Board of Health · Meeting of February 26, 2026
ESSEX — Board of Health grants one-year variance for early compactor collection. Applicant Eian Woodman requested permission to have waste-compactor equipment removed and returned outside the standard 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. collection window due to the vendor facility's schedule and resulting 24-hour gap in compactor availability. Chair Dr.
David Driscoll and Member Peter Hoare moved and backed the motion, which expires March 1, 2027, unless complaints or public health concerns emerge. The Board also unanimously approved the prior meeting's minutes.
