Board approves Toro BBQ license, names public works member

ESSEX — Board of Selectmen approves restaurant license and names public works member. The board unanimously approved a new all-alcohol restaurant license for Toro BBQ Steakhouse at 109 Eastern Avenue under manager Kimberly Tucker and owner Jholliklesio DiFreitas, along with related entertainment and common victualler licenses. In other business, the board unanimously appointed Derek Kowalski to a three-year position on the Board of Public Works (term ending June 30, 2029).

The board also unanimously approved a weekly warrant for $195,770.64 and a National Grid utility pole replacement project at Centennial Grove.
